Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a Material Handler II to efficiently receive, store, pick, and ship materials in our Carson City area facility. You will operate forklifts and related equipment while maintaining safety and accuracy in all processes.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to warehouse procedures, with opportunities for overtime and shift flexibility. Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience in similar roles and a solid grasp of WMS systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications for forklifts/pallet jacks preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, picking, and verifying materials.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and WMS usage.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage; report discrepancies.
  • Unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials for production orders or outbound shipments according to pick lists or instructions.
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Job Summary

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
