Job summary

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, a high school diploma, proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to lift 10–50 pounds and work in variable temperatures.

Job Description
Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Material Handler II for a contract position with a Global Life Sciences and Technology Company located in Austin, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for providing receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and information management for finished goods, inventory, and materials. The ideal candidate will work within a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring the high quality and timely delivery of sample isolation and viral testing reagents.

Responsibilities:
  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying quality, type, and quantity
  • Operate PC applications and systems, including Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • Update and maintain the SAP system
  • Coordinate all related activities with the distribution team with minimum supervision
  • Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Experience in Receiving spanning approximately one to two years
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks in addition to equipment located at various heights
  • Intermediate digital literacy to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software
  • Prepared to work within a warehouse environment exposed to different temperatures (room temperature, cold-room, and freezer-room)
  • Experience functioning in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage through complex processes/projects
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects 10-50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
Desired skills:
  • A preferred background includes experience with SAP spanning two to three years
Pay range: up to $22.00 per hour
