Overview

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Material Handler I for our client in the biotech industry that is committed to helping patients at all stages of cancer live longer and healthier lives through their technology. Biotech experience a plus!

6 Month Contract

Payrate $26

6 Paid Holidays

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving and processing incoming material, securely and safely storing temperature sensitive materials, issuing material to work orders and other uses, ensuring that all necessary transactions are completed in the ERP system, performing cycle counts, analyzing inventory discrepancies and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
• Forklift Certification preferred, not required
• California Drivers License Required
• Previous work experience in a lab preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules
• Ability to work independently in a team environment

Additional Responsibilities

• Experience in receiving, stockroom, shipping, material handling and inventory analysis roles. Experience in rapid-growth life science environment working with temperature-sensitive materials a plus
• Must be able to create and maintain Excel skills on a need basis
• Experience in implementing, executing and improving cycle count programs, 2 bin systems
• Experience with ordering supplies
• Enter data into ERP system - Cycle Count Module, Receiving parts, Shipping parts, RMA returns. Fill out commercial invoice
• Track Freight With various Carriers on a need basis
• Use of Hand Trucks, Pallet Jacks, Box Trucks, Sit Down Forklift, Standing Forklift and Scales safely and effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Employee may be required to lift routine equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a Warehouse environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. anything over 50lbs requires assistance to lift.
