Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Material Handler I in Imperial, PA to support production operations through material handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving. The role requires dependable, safety-conscious individuals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position offers shift hours from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with pay around $19.96 per hour. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, ERP/SAP familiarity, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; prior production and inventory control experience is helpful.
• Forklift certification is desirable; crane certification is desirable.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus).
• Ability to calculate surface area, volumes, weights, and dimensions of packaged equipment or components.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and organize work independently while following established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain accurate records for incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment and entering shipment details into the ERP system.
• Compare identifying information and counts, and weigh or measure items to ensure accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and related documentation.
• Determine shipment methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates; make carrier arrangements when needed.
• Affix shipping labels, assemble containers (wooden or cardboard), insert protective materials, and secure shipments using strapping and stenciling equipment.
• Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged goods, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to resolve issues; support inventory counts and reconciliation.
