Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Material Handler I to assist in inventory control within our manufacturing facility. You will receive, pick, pack, and ship products following SOPs, and support the Materials team in daily operations.

The role requires basic reading of work instructions, safe operation of pallet jacks and hand trucks, and accurate data entry into the warehouse system. Candidates demonstrate reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Operation of basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Responsibilities

• Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Understand warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
• Read and interpret work instructions and SOPs.
• Perform data entry and basic computer tasks related to inventory.
• Maintain space utilization and inventory accuracy.
• Safely lift, move, and handle materials; support all Material Handler I roles.
