Apogee Architectural Metals, a segment of Apogee Enterprises, Inc., seeks a Material Handler I to support inventory control in a manufacturing facility. You will assist with cycle counting, stock rotation, and data entry while following SOPs and safety procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, basic problem-solving, and the ability to read blueprints and work instructions. Weekend shifts and overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Follow blueprints.
• Read and interpret Work Instructions and SOPs.
• Use a computer with basic data-entry proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
• Basic problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies in orders or inventory.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Perform basic computer functions related to data entry.
• Strong organizational skills for efficient space utilization and inventory management.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
• Must be cross-trained and able to support all Material Handler I roles.
