Job summary

Abbott is hiring a Material Handler I at our Westford, MA site. This onsite role supports movement and management of materials in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will perform manual tasks, operate forklifts or pallet jacks, and use SAP/WMS to track material status while adhering to GMP and QMS requirements. Safety and accuracy are essential, with lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional chemical handling.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 0-3 years of experience in healthcare, medical device, or biotech industry.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs using pallet handling equipment.
• Attention to detail with part/batch numbers, documentation, and timely transactions.
• Ability to perform tasks in a quality system environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual and clerical duties moving materials, may use computers.
• Pulls material from warehouse stock using a pick list and RF devices.
• Uses barcode scanner to verify items for airlock picklist.
• Transports materials using forklift, pallet jack, or truck to designated location.
• Manages and maintains materials in assigned roles.
• Participates in weekly cycle count activities.
• Performs SAP transactions to identify material status.
• Inspects all packages for damage and verifies packing slips against invoices.
