Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Material Handler I in Merrillville, IN, to perform shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and storage tasks. The role includes forklift operation and lifting up to 150 pounds with assistance as needed, under close supervision.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, preparing documents, and maintaining clean, efficient warehouse areas. High school diploma or GED and forklift certification are required; some related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Forklift certification required and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipments and direct movement to storage/work areas.
• Verify and record incoming/outgoing shipments in the Warehouse Management System.
• Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, and other documents.
• Replenish stock and maintain organized work areas and equipment.
• Operate a forklift and perform occasional driving duties.
• Perform other duties and after-hours work as needed.
