Job summary

RK Logistics Group is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations, moving materials, receiving and shipping, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role involves forklift and hand-truck use, can include staging and documentation tasks, and requires adherence to safety and LEAN practices.

Ideal candidates will have 0-2 years in warehouse/logistics, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-2 years’ Warehouse and Logistics experience.
• 1-2 years’ forklift experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and apply LEAN principles, including 5S and 7S methodologies; training provided.
• Great communication skills.
• Understanding of logistics, shipping, receiving, and standard work instruction protocols.
• Strong math and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Prior experience with Inventory control preferred.
• Excellent time management

Responsibilities

• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks and other motorized equipment to move material or freight in the warehouse-storage facility.
• Unload inbound customer products.
• Load product for outbound processing.
• Weigh products and take measurements (DIMS).
• Receive, unpack, check, and verify product for accuracy.
• Process receiving exceptions as needed.
• Use handheld RF tools to receive, pick, stock check, and ship products into WMS.
• Conduct stock checks, cycle counts, and support physical inventory.
• Pack, re-pack and wrap products for shipping and storage.
• Consolidate partial pallets into full pallets for location and inventory control.
• Label parts during receipt, put away, picking or shipping.
• Pick parts for order fulfillment, shipments, scrap requests, etc.
• Stage completed orders or shipments in staging area.
• Ensure orders and shipping material include proper delivery documents (BOL, packing slip).
• Inform supervisor about OSD (overages, shortages & damage).
• Check QB to ensure timely/responses to inquiries.
• Process RAM for efficient handling of materials.
• Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Place materials in variance and tracking.
• Process materials for shipment coordinating logistics and documentation.
• Follow all workplace safety regulations and guidelines.
• Execute department documentation including shipment verification and inventory reconciliation.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean/safe work environment.
• Occasional use of hand/tools/power tools.
• Cross-train to learn other warehouse functions.
• Other duties as needed
