Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Portage, Michigan is hiring a Material Handler I for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:30pm). This onsite, full-time role focuses on moving and tracking materials within manufacturing areas to support production flow.

Under supervision, you will operate common material handling equipment, maintain records, and enter data into the inventory system. The position offers a $20.75 base hourly rate plus a $2.00 shift differential andbonus potential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing or related experience preferred.

## Material Handler I - 2nd Shift - $20.75/hr + $2.00 Shift DifferentialApply: Portage, Michigan: Full time: Posted Today: R571577Work Flexibility: Onsite**Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm, OT as needed****What you will do:**Under Direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. Provides information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies. May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.* May unpack and check goods against purchase orders or invoices.* Maintains records of received goods, alerting appropriate personnel to inspect unsatisfactory items when necessary.* Will lift and move heavy items and may operate a forklift.* Will prepare and maintain records of items shipped and will be required to comply with documentation and record keeping procedures.* May prepare goods for final shipment and/or production assembly.* May examine, stock and/or distribute goods in inventory and/or in other areas.* May enter information into the inventory management system.* May train others in distribution related tasks.* May work from engineering drawings and/or follow documented assembly/ packaging instructions.* Ability to operate computer related programs.**What you need:**Preferred* Ability to operate common material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, scales, label maker, PC, etc.).* General computer skills.* High School Diploma or GED* Prior manufacturing or related experience$20.75/hr + $2.00 Shift Differential plus bonus potential and benefits.Travel Percentage: NoneStryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
