Job summary

Symrise is seeking a Material Handler I for our Columbus, GA facility. You will support safe, efficient material movement for dry blend manufacturing, handling raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods with strict GMP and food safety adherence.

Responsibilities include receiving, staging, transporting, and inventory control, while ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery to production. A strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One+ year material handling, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Basic computer and inventory system skills.
• Ability to read production documents and labels with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, unload, and store incoming materials.
• Stage materials for production per schedules and work orders.
• Operate forklifts and move materials safely around the facility.
• Record inventory transactions and maintain accuracy in systems.
• Follow FIFO inventory practices for traceability and quality.
• Support production by delivering materials to work areas.
