Job summary

Symrise in Hodges, SC seeks a Material Handler Lead to safely receive, move, store and ship materials on 1st shift. You will work with forklifts, SAP and RF scanners, ensuring accurate documentation and supporting cycle counts.

The role includes backing up office bookings, preparing shipping paperwork, and collaborating with QC and production. Training is provided for all equipment and systems, with emphasis on safety in non-climate-controlled areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Preferred 3+ years of forklift experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
• SAP experience is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Receives, moves, ships and transfers materials accurately and timely.
• Loads/unloads trucks; prepares materials for shipping and internal transfers.
• Checks labels and documentation for accuracy.
• Records transactions using RF/Laser scanners.
• Participates in inventory cycle counts.
• Backups for bookings, shipping paperwork and SAP reports.
• Performs data entry and communicates with QC and production.
• Maintains housekeeping and operates lift trucks.
• Follows safety training and policies; works in non-climate-controlled areas.
