Job summary

CJ Schwan's in Texas is hiring for a full-time role in our food manufacturing facility. You will move materials, stack pallets, and handle merchandise while keeping area clean. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential (6 p.m.–6 a.m.).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–2 years related experience.
• Must be able to work in freezers with subzero temperatures for 4–8 hours per day and stand up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and supplies through the facility using carts and pallet jacks.
• Stack skids or pallets and dispose of scrap bracing cardboard and strapping.
• Place items in designated containers or areas.
• Use lists to count quantities and conduct material audits.
• Perform other duties including general maintenance and processing load sheets.

What You Will Do:

• Moving materials and supplies through the facility, which may require the use of material handling equipment such as carts, conveyer belts, and pallet jacks.
• Stacking skids or pallets in designated areas and cleaning and disposing of scrap bracing cardboard and strapping.
• Placing items in proper containers or designated areas.
• Using lists to determine and count quantities of product moving throughout the facility and conducting intermediate material audits.
• Other duties as assigned (such as general maintenance work around the facility and processing of load sheets).

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years related experience.
• Must be able to work in freezers with subzero temperatures for 4-8 hours per day and stand up to 8 hours.
