Job Description

Position Purpose: Responsible for routine tasks involving movement and processing of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including disassembly, sorting, packing, and loading/unloading. Operates equipment such as lamp processors, distillation ovens, shredders, pallet trucks, forklifts, bailers, compactors, air compressors, and hand tools.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, wearing PPE as required.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies.
• Load and unload materials like pallets, totes, drums.
• Construct packaging and prepare shipments.
• Use hand tools and operate material handling equipment safely.
• Dismantle and sort materials for recycling/disposal.
• Operate and inspect recycling equipment.
• Prepare by-product materials for shipment and assist with paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience: High School diploma or GED required.

Knowledge / Skills: Ability to learn SOPs, effective communication, operate handling equipment safely, work well in a team.

Certifications / Licenses: HAZWOPER and forklift certifications preferred.
