Job Description

Overview

CAES by Honeywell Mission Systems is seeking a Materials Handler. In this role, you will support stockroom materials requests by withdrawing required parts from inventory, bagging, tagging, issuing to kits, and routing them to the appropriate work centers and/or departments. This role is critical for supporting production with the materials needed to ensure assemblies can be made and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform daily functions related to sorting, counting, packaging, and labeling of materials per requirements.
  2. Support stockroom materials requests by withdrawing parts from inventory, bagging, tagging, and issuing to kits or engineering.
  3. Route and deliver kits or part requests to appropriate work centers and/or departments.
  4. Analyze inventory conditions, notify supervisor of damages, perform daily cycle counts, update computer systems, and perform data entry.
  5. Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies.
  6. Maintain 5S standards and suggest improvements.
  7. Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities to improve processes.
  8. Collaborate in team meetings and activities.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 0-2 years' relevant experience in manufacturing.
  • Must be a “US Person” under US export laws or eligible for approval.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2-4 years' relevant experience.
  • Material handling experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Additional Information

  • Position is full-time, entry level, in Lancaster, PA.
  • Compensation ranges from $15.68/hr to $21.97/hr depending on experience and job level.
  • Must have legal eligibility to work in the US; no visa sponsorship provided.
