Job description

RPI, a global leader in print-on-demand solutions, is currently seeking a Material Handler I to join our team. In this role, you'll work as part of the material handling team to ensure the smooth flow of materials throughout our production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming materials in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Stock materials for manufacturing according to production needs.
  3. Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate records.
  4. Record all material movements and inventory adjustments in the ERP system.
  5. Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled storage areas in both warehouse and production zones.
  6. Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, in accordance with OSHA and manufacturer guidelines.
  7. Complete routine maintenance checks on equipment and update maintenance logs.
  8. Support recycling efforts by replacing full recycling bins in production with empty ones.
  9. Help maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the facility.
  10. Assist with general manufacturing tasks as needed.
  11. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Strong attention to detail and organizational habits.
  4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  5. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Education & Experience:

  1. Previous experience in materials handling or inventory management, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  2. Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems and processes.
  3. Forklift certification preferred (RPI will provide training and certification if needed).

Physical Requirements:

  1. Stand and walk for extended periods.
  2. Work at heights on a ladder or scissor lift.
  3. Ability to operate powered material handling equipment.
  4. Work within a moderately loud environment.
  5. Work within varying environmental temperatures from hot to cold.
  6. Able to grasp, reach, stoop.
  7. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
