Job summary

3M Indianapolis is seeking a Material Handler I for the 2nd shift (2:45pm – 11:15pm, Mon–Fri). Starting pay is $25.13 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential. New hires receive three weeks of paid vacation, plus health, vision and dental coverage from day one.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older to be considered for this 3M Production role.
  • Minimum three months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pass company-provided Forklift Training and retain issued forklift license.
  • Additional qualifications: minimum one year of plant/manufacturing experience and a Powered Industrial Vehicle license.

  • Operate powered industrial vehicles such as fork trucks
  • Move material using pallet jacks
  • Receive incoming goods
  • Ship outgoing product

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.

Your Skills And Expertise
  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public government or military environment
  • Ability to pass company provided Forklift Training and retain issued forklift license.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Minimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environment
  • Powered Industrial Vehicle license

Applicants who meet the basic qualifications above will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.
