Job summary

Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking a driven Material Handler I to receive, unpack, and inspect goods, verify shipments against invoices, and prepare items for distribution across its shops.

You will operate forklifts and other handling equipment, manage counts against orders, and maintain SAP records to support efficient, safe, and accurate inventory flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; forklift operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand welding/production drawings.
• Proficient in English and authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and examine goods; verify completeness against invoices.
• Prepare products for shipment; count and compare quantities and IDs.
• Operate forklifts/large machinery; transfer orders and maintain SAP records.
• Support inventory management and ensure accurate documentation.

Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Material Handler I to receive, unpack, and examine goods received and verify completeness of shipments against invoices and other records. If you have experience with overseas shipping and FedEx, this could be the role for you! This role will prepare products for shipment, count and compare quantity and identification numbers of units against the order and utilize power tools and large machinery such as forklifts or cranes. Transfer orders, confirmations, and inventory management will all be generated & maintained in SAP consistent with standard operating procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Material Handler is responsible for preparing inventory & staging parts for multiple shops. This role plays a critical part in ensuring these teams have a readily available inventory that is easily accessible for our daytime, nighttime, and weekend shifts. As part of these responsibilities, this position will also review and mark the appropriate part numbers on inventory to properly document & track parts usage and need.

This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $17.50-$22.50 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in reading and understanding welding/production drawings.
• Previous experience with forklift operations.
• Authorized to work in the United States of America.
• Proficient in the English Language.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in ERP system, specifically experience with SAP logistics transactions.
• Previous warehouse/parts management experience.
• Previous shipping, Fed-Ex, or UPS experience.
