Description

What We’re Looking For

Travelpro is seeking a reliable Material Handler I to join our Distribution team! In this role you will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on customer orders, kitting/light assembly and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory, and more! Candidates must be available to work overtime hours during the busier times of the year and be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for distribution center processes including but not limited to receiving, fulfillment, shipping, kitting and inventory control. You will also:

  • Maintain warehouse stock and assist in fulfilling orders
  • Perform various functions including but not limited to shipping, picking, packing, labeling, receiving, kitting and light assembly
  • Operate hand pallet jack
  • Load and unload containers and trailers by hand
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Use handheld devices
  • Assist with other projects as needed
  • Balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach.
  • Walk or stand for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
  • Work in distribution environment, exposure to noise and dust
  • Work in uncontrolled climate changes: hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
  • WORK OVERTIME WHEN NECESSARY FOR THE BUSINESS

What You’ll Need

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing/Distribution experience preferred
  • Knowledge of all functional areas in the distribution facility
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to produce high quality work
  • Ability to work continuously
  • Ensures a clean/neat work environment is maintained throughout the facility
  • Compliance with all company safety policies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Good reading and comprehension skills to read orders, RF guns, shipping documents etc.
  • Must be able to lift 50 regularly
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary to support the business requirements
