Job Summary

Under the direction of the Elmhurst Service Group Leader, the Material Handler is an entry‑level training position that will ultimately be assigned to a work cell at the Service Center to support the Cell Lead Operator in processing Customer Orders efficiently and on time.

Responsibilities

• Receive training as a material handler and follow direction of the trainer.
• Provide feedback to the trainer to assess competency level.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and facility procedures.
• Process orders efficiently and maintain productivity.
• Operate equipment to uphold high quality standards.
• Participate in equipment maintenance duties as required.
• Continuously inspect finished product for conformance to customer and Materion standards.
• Take appropriate action to prevent the escape of non‑conforming material.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Assist the machine operator in the orderly and efficient flow of material in a slitting work center.
• Pull stock from inventory and load material onto payoff equipment.
• Unload finished cuts and sidecuts, fill out order documentation, and return remnant material to inventory.
• Participate in team activities as required.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Pay Range

$21.18 – $23.57 per hour. Actual base salary offered varies based on relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
