Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a part-time Material Handler in the Chicago area. The role involves safe operation of equipment used to move packages and heavyweight freight, plus assisting with pallet buildup and breakdown sessions.

You will also liaise with the ULD repair vendor as needed and perform other duties as assigned, including working in various weather conditions and maintaining alertness during shifts.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Able to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat as required.
• Able to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above head level.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment for movement of packages/documents/heavyweight freight.
• Assists in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between FedEx and ULD repair vendor when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
