Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, sort, and transfer donated goods within the facility. You will operate material handling equipment, load trailers, and maintain clean, safe workspaces while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, 1 year related experience, and the ability to pass a background check. Some lifting and exposure to varying conditions are required; evening/weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• 1 year experience in a related field required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Material Handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sorts donated goods into the proper container for transfer to designated areas.
• Safely and efficiently uses material handling equipment to transport donated goods to the appropriate area.
• Loads trailers and containers when required.

2. Safely and efficiently uses material handling equipment to transport donated goods to the appropriate area.

3. Loads trailers and containers when required.

4. Follows established procedures for the safe disposal of waste, adhering to all recycling procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions

• The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
