Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, move, and track materials within the plant, yard, or work site. You may operate a forklift, dolly, wheelbarrow, or crane, and must maintain records and keep the work area clean and organized.

The role requires following safety guidelines, coordinating material flow with production schedules, and ensuring accurate inventory and documentation.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets instructions and plans work activities.
• Applies basic shop mathematics to solve problems.
• Visualizes objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
• Arranges on site transfer of materials and equipment to meet production schedules.
• Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• Completes and maintains records and prepares reports.
• Coordinates and expedites flow of materials between departments and work areas.
• Reviews schedules to determine material requirements and track material status.
• Requisitions material and sets delivery dates.
• Inspects materials for conformance to specifications.
• Compiles and maintains inventory and production records.
• Observes safety and project rules and performs other duties as required.
