Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Material Handler to support our on-site material movement and storage. You will move and stage materials, operate basic material handling equipment, and follow safety practices to keep operations running smoothly.

This role includes on-the-job training, a collaborative culture, and opportunities to grow within a large nationwide building-supply network. You must be able to lift up to 80 pounds as needed and work under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; entry level with on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and safe operations.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Physically handles materials to optimize movement; lifts, carries, stacks items.
• Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Responds to training to improve knowledge of processes.
• Observes safety procedures to prevent injuries; attends safety meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
