Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Material Handler - Production for its Belleville, MI facility. The role supports material flow, movement, and safe operation of lift equipment in a manufacturing environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months related training) and a valid Michigan forklift permit. You will work closely with teams, follow MIOSHA procedures, and participate in ongoing safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Must have Michigan forklift permit and solid safety record.
• Able to communicate effectively with others and work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of MIOSHA standards related to setup, lockout, press/welding equipment, forklift, PPE, and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and lifting devices to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Unload/stack materials, weigh and record on tags or schedules.
• Tag containers correctly and perform daily safety checks.
• Maintain neat WIP areas and assist in department operations as needed.
• Attend to shifts as assigned and maintain punctuality and attendance.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly and follow supervisor directions.
