Job summary

Daikin Applied's Dayton, Ohio facility is seeking a dedicated material handler to support fast-paced production operations. The role involves reading work orders, loading/unloading materials with pallet jacks and forklifts, labeling, packing for shipping, and ensuring accurate counts on daily production sheets.

Starting wage is $18.00 per hour on 1st shift (8:00am–4:30pm) with overtime opportunities. A High School diploma or GED and ability to lift and stand all shift are required.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders or pick tickets to determine materials to be picked or processed.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift/push/pull materials and stand for majority of shift in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or tickets to determine materials to pick, move, or process.
• Load and unload materials using pallets, pallets jacks, conveyors, or forklifts.
• Label materials and prepare cartons for shipping; ensure packaging accuracy.
• Convey, count, and record units moved on production sheets.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift; adhere to safety policies.
