Job summary

Daikin Applied in Dayton, OH is hiring for a Manufacturing/Materials Handler role. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour, with a 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This position focuses on safe, efficient shipping, receiving, and material handling within a climate-controlled facility.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, follow 5S standards, use a Warehouse Management System, and read diagrams and instructions to assemble crates and move materials accurately.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 2 years in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Attention to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies and work instructions with attention to detail.
• Prepares, cuts, and assembles crates to prevent product damage.
• Safely transport materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Use WMS and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identify quality issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
