Job summary

Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, is seeking a Material Handler at our Wildwood, FL site to support production by pulling documents, stocking, loading, kitting, cycle counts, and delivering to workstations.

The role requires a High School Diploma; forklift certification is preferred. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, and coordinate with teams to keep material flowing smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, and unload materials/parts and store in inventory.
• Identify, draw from inventory, and transport material to assembly areas, machines, loading docks and other areas.
• Familiarize self with different work areas to assure prompt delivery and adequate supply of required items.
• Keep material organized and production stocked with material.
• Clearly communicate and document the processing of incoming and outgoing items.
• Operate industrial forklift, pallet jack, mobile equipment and/or overhead cranes to perform material handling assignments.
• Deliver urgent items to the production floor consistently, accurately, and safely.
• Track incoming parts and relay this to management quickly, consistently, and accurately.
• Follow verbal or written work instructions, standards and/or QWI’s consistently, accurately, and safely.
