Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Elwood, Illinois, is hiring a Material Handler. The role includes forklift operation, loading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving, with a 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Fri–Sun schedule and weekly pay. Experience with sit-down forklifts and clamp trucks is preferred. Applicants should be able to work independently or as part of a team and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving and forklift operation.
• Cycle counting and inventory accuracy within contract guidelines.
• Accurate picking/packing, tote induction, staging and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours.
• Follow safety policies and quality standards on every shift.
