Job summary

LACOSTA Facility Support Services in Loudon, TN is seeking a dependable Material Handler to move materials in a busy manufacturing facility on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. The night shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekly pay at $16.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, pulling orders, staging materials, stocking inventory, packing for shipment, and performing pre-use inspections. Candidates must pass background checks and drug screening, have 2+ years forklift experience,

Qualifications

• Pass background checks and drug screening.
• Minimum 2 years of forklift experience.
• Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting 50lbs independently.
• Wear LACOSTA shirt, steel-toed boots, long pants and PPE as required.
• Facility is smoke-free.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and heavy machinery to move products in the warehouse.
• Pull orders from inventory and deliver production materials as needed.
• Staging finished products for distribution.
• Identify, label, and store materials to maintain inventory.
• Locate materials for shipping and packing.
• Prepare stock for shipment and document units shipped.
• Perform pre-use inspections on material-handling equipment.
• Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations.

Job Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule

(Example: Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun; then Mon, Thurs, Fri)

• Night Shift: 7:00PM-7:00AM

Pay Rate: Paid weekly (every Friday)

• $16.50/hr.

Job Description: Responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to move products within the warehouse and loading/unloading trucks.

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished products for final distribution.
• Contributes to orderly operation of stock/materials storage area.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying and supplies listed on production orders.
• Locates and packs materials for shipping.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
• Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Pass background checks and drug screening
• Minimum 2 years of forklift experience
• Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting 50lbs independently.
• Wear LACOSTA Shirt, steel-toed boots/shoes, long pants, and any other required PPE
• Remove all jewelry and accessories
• THIS IS A SMOKE FREE FACILITY
