Job summary

The Smurfit Westrock Company is seeking a Material Handler in Rural Hall, NC. You will manage material flow from manufacturing and suppliers to assembly plants and customers, ensuring accurate handling and storage.

Shift is 3rd (11pm–7am). You will operate MHE including electric pallet jacks and forklifts, perform daily checklists, unload inbound goods, stock materials, and complete related paperwork while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of sit-down forklift experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred or willing to obtain on hire.
• One year or more as warehouse clerk preferred.
• Fluency in English required, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate Electric Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, Stand-up Reach Trucks, and Sit-down Swing Reach Trucks.
• Complete a daily Material Handling Equipment checklist before shift.
• Ensure safety equipment is in place and functioning.
• Unload inbounds, warehouse materials, supply production lines and load outbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform daily cycle counts.
