Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Material Handler on the 3rd shift to manage inbound and outbound materials, unload, warehouse, and supply production lines. You will operate MHE including forklifts and pallet jacks, complete daily paperwork, and help maintain inventory accuracy.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, with overtime required and a strong focus on correct material handling and site cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification is a plus or must be willing to obtain upon hire.
• Two sit-down forklift experiences strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate Electric Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, Stand-up Reach Trucks, and Sit-down Swing Reach Trucks.
• Unload inbounds and warehouse materials, supply production lines and load outbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and complete daily cycle counts.
• Complete paperwork related to material movement accurately and timely.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping of equipment and work area.
