Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator in Monroe, LA to load, unload and move building materials. You will operate a forklift per safety guidelines, manage inventory, and prepare distribution paperwork while maintaining orderly work areas.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with a fixed hourly wage of $18.08, plus comprehensive benefits. Candidates should have at least one year of forklift/warehouse experience and a reliable work history.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and understand orders and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working area.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested.
