Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator for our distribution center in the United States. You will operate forklifts, load and unload building materials, and prepare shipping paperwork while maintaining safety and efficiency.

We offer a fixed hourly wage of $20.76, a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off. Candidates should have 1 year of forklift/warehouse experience and a solid safety record.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Able to safely operate forklift and transport products.
• Capable of reading sales orders and safety material.
• Strong work history and safe record.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick or bulk).
• Prepare distribution and shipping paperwork.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts.
