Job summary

Aerotek is hiring immediately for material handlers and production workers in Murfreesboro, TN. This contract-to-hire role focuses on safely preparing, moving, and organizing materials for shipping and receiving in a high-volume distribution facility.

You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers, using RF scanners and basic data entry to keep inventory accurate. Shifts vary, with extended standing and up to 50 lb lifts required.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or production environments.
• Ability to safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Experience with reach trucks and cherry pickers, including working at heights.
• Proficient in basic material handling like picking, loading, and palletizing.
• Experience using handheld RF scanners for picking/inventory tracking.
• Ability to use pallet jacks and similar tools.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for shipping/receiving following SOPs and work instructions.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers to move/store products.
• Work at elevated heights when using certain equipment.
• Use RF scanners to pick, load, and track inventory.
• Perform warehouse tasks including picking, loading, and palletizing.
• Move pallets with pallet jacks and ensure safe handling.
• Use tape guns, calculators, and measuring tools to verify shipments.
• Enter/update data in computer systems (Excel/MS Word) for inventory/work orders.
• Follow safety procedures and support inventory control activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with facility standards.
