Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Material Handler in Tennessee to distribute materials on the production floor, operate a powered forklift safely, read lot information, and ensure correct material placement. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to ISO standards, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Responsibilities include daily forklift inspections, trailer checks, labeling verification, and accurate material transport.

Qualifications

• Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
• Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capable of operating a forklift safely; six months of forklift driving experience required.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs periodically.
• Previous material handling or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret work orders.

Responsibilities

• Report to front line leadership.
• Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals.
• Perform daily inspections on forklift.
• Perform Trailer inspections prior to loading & unloading.
• Stock machines with correct materials by reading, interpreting & processing lot information & material type.
• Verify WIP labels, carton ID labels with hand held scanner.
• Check production quantity for accuracy.
• Transport materials/product using scanner.
• Move product to warehouse and assign to proper location.
• Practice First In & First Out product movement, Perform housekeeping duties as needed or assigned, Maintain lot control traceability, Assist palletizers or operators when needed, Control of non-conforming product, Manage scrap identification & flow within production, Work and perform to ISO Standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions.
• Uphold Quality Standards and follow the Absolutes.
• Read & interpret traveler/work order.
• Other tasks as assigned.
