Job summary

RJW Logistics Group seeks full-time warehouse associates to operate forklifts and hand-held RF devices in Joliet, IL. You will pick orders, stack shipments, and maintain safety and accuracy in daily warehouse tasks.

Competitive hourly pay $20–$23 plus attendance, referral, and hiring bonuses, with step increases after 90 and 180 days; additional per-hour incentives for certified forklift and reach truck drivers.

• Hiring Bonus - Up to $1000 (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
• Step increase program- Pay will increase by $.50 after 90 days and again after 180 days (Material Handlers Only)
• Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers will receive an additional $0.50 per hour
• Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers will receive an additional $1.00 per hour

Shifts Available: 1st & 2nd;

• > 4days - 10hr shifts
• 5:00a-3:30pm
• 4:00p-2:30am

Pay: $20-23/hr.

Job Purpose:

To operate forklifts and walkies safely and efficiently; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders. Always maintain forklifts and walkies safely following all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick product from inventory for order fulfillment.
• Drive sits down forklifts and walkies.
• Assemble individual packages into ship ready orders.
• Move stock to proper warehouse locations.
• Learn day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Comply with safety guidelines.
• Verify orders are complete and accurate.
• Pick each customer order in the most effective manner possible to minimize shipping costs and ensure product safety.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• He / she must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Attention to detail and quality is a must.
• Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.
• Flexibility in working overtime when needed and supplying coverage to other shifts.
• PC skills are helpful.
