Compensation
Starting pay rate is $20–$24/hour.
Pay Incentives
- Attendance Incentive – Up to $2,400 bonus for good attendance. (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
- Referral Bonus – Up to $500 per referral. (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
- Hiring Bonus – Up to $1,000. (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
- Step increase program – Pay will increase by $.50 after 90 days and again after 180 days (Material Handlers Only)
- Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers will receive an additional $0.50 per hour
- Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers will receive an additional $1.00 per hour

Job Purpose
To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; load/unload RJW truck/trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; be responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Ability to operate sit‑down forklift and/or EPJs.
- General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
- Loads and unloads RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
- Flexible to work 10‑12 hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
- Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lb. multiple times.
- Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
- Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
- Processing outbound cross‑dock freight as necessary.
- Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.
- Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.
- Records and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
- Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
- Operates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
- This includes wearing of seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift.
- Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections.
- Handles all customer products properly and orderly.
- Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage; alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
- Reports all accidents/incidents, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
- Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
- Maintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility keeping them free of debris or snow.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager.
Additional Responsibilities
- Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
- General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Attention to detail and quality is a must.
- Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.
- Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.
- PC skills helpful.
- Major experience on sit‑down forklifts/EPJs.
- Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
- Experience in cross‑docking freight process.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse.
Qualifications
- 3‑6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit‑down forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.
- Good stable work record.
Education and Experience Required
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Warehousing certifications a plus.
