Job summary

KCC Companies is an employee-owned (ESOP) company providing design, manufacturing, installation, and service for HVAC products. This Material Handler role supports Materials Management, requiring independent work, ERP exposure, and experience with scanning/picking parts for shipment.

The position emphasizes safe operation of warehouse equipment, inventory tasks, and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Overtime may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• At least 6 months experience operating a forklift or reach truck.
• Possess strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
• Preferred working knowledge of MRP or ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must pass background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Pick and stage materials for production
• Accurately pull parts from pick tickets and stages materials for production.
• Safely operate various pieces of warehouse equipment (Cherry Pickers, Forklifts etc.).
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as directed. Communicate issues regarding part discrepancies to the Warehouse Lead
• Safely operates various pieces of warehouse equipment (Forklifts etc.)
• Actively participate as a member of the team to move the team towards completion of goals.
• Takes the initiative to find, identify and propose changes to processes not working well.
• Performs additional duties as assigned, as a sorter or assembly tech etc.

Summary:

Material Handler supports the Materials Management Department. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have some experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Experience picking parts using a scanner and packing parts for shipment required.

Safety/Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Requires bending, stooping and standing.
• Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend the time period.)
• Good visual and spatial perception.
• Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.
