Job summary

Lone Star Bakery, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to support production. You will operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and related warehousing equipment in a temperature-controlled facility, ensuring accurate handling and documentation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to FIFO, with daily responsibilities spanning loading, unloading, and moving goods within production areas and docks.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at a steady and continuous pace to keep up with production.
• Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently or with team lifts.
• Knowledge of barcoding system and use of scanners.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions.

Responsibilities

• Operates stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other warehousing equipment.
• Loads, unloads, inspects, and transfers goods within the production area, freezers, coolers, dry storage and docking areas.
• Works in a team environment with the goal of supporting the Company.
• Verifies items picked for shipping to sales orders and items received to documentation.
• Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Follows warehousing protocol and FIFO procedures.
• Cycles counts to maintain accountability.
• Maintains a clean work area free of foreign objects and materials.
• Notifies supervisor of warehousing issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Able to travel in different areas of the temperature-controlled warehouse.

Summary

Performs a variety of warehouse functions in support of Production.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates stand-up and sit down forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other warehousing equipment.
• Loads, unloads, inspects, and transfers goods within the Company’s production area, freezers, coolers, dry storage and docking areas.
• Ability to work in a team environment with the common goal of supporting the Company.
• Verifies items picked for shipping to sales orders and items received to bill of lading, purchase orders, and other documentation.
• Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Follows warehousing protocol and procedures (such as FIFO).
• Ability to cycle count products to ensure the accountability is always maintained.
• Maintains a clean work area that is free and clear of foreign objects and materials.
• Notifies supervisor of any warehousing issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to travel in different areas of the temperature-controlled warehouse.

Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications

• Ability to work at a steady and continuous pace to keep up with manufacturing production. Ability to accurately complete required Company documentation using Redzone.
• Ability to safely lift and/or move to 50 pounds independently using safe lifting procedures and heavier loads using team lifts.
• Knowledge of barcoding system.
• Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required.
• Ability to push and pull pallets and other packaging materials.
• Ability to understand and use barcoding scanners and devices.
