Job summary

RightStone in Mentor, OH is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator for a 1-month contract, offering $21.00 per hour on day shift (7:00 AM–4:00 PM).

You will operate forklifts and related equipment, load and unload materials, pick orders, and ensure accurate packing and shipping while maintaining a clean, safe warehouse.

This temporary engagement focuses on immediate operational support; benefits and PTO are not provided during the initial contract.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old, possess sound basic math abilities, and have strong written/verbal communication skills to read labels, order tickets, and documentation.
• Prior experience operating Reach Trucks or Order Pickers is helpful, along with comfort operating at heights up to 24 feet.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, carry, and slide packages weighing up to 75 lbs, with the stamina to stand and move throughout the warehouse in varying temperatures.
• Must supply your own steel-toe safety boots.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, reach trucks, walking riders, and hand trucks (order picker/cherry picker work includes working elevated up to 24 ft. In the air).
• Load, unload, and transfer materials safely across the work site to fill orders and process incoming/outgoing inventory.
• Accurately pack and ship orders by reading work orders, verifying material tickets, and securing items for safe transportation.
• Maintain warehouse organization by keeping work zones clean, organized, and compliant with facility safety standards.

Pay Rate: $21/hr. Duration: 1-month contract (Temp only) Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Possible overtime; Saturday OT is 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM)

Work Environment

You will work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, organized warehouse environment. The role involves continuous equipment operation, physical order picking, and exposure to seasonal temperature changes on the warehouse floor.
