Nazdar has an open position in the production department for a Material Handler. This position provides support by assisting with material handling in the plant.

Hours for position: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Pay: $20/hr.

Responsibilities

1. Relocate products as directed by the Supervisor by physically moving the products.
2. Modify storage racks and locations as directed by the Supervisor.
3. Identify items in wrong locations and return them to correct locations.
4. Assist with pulling products for future batches from areas such as raw material storage, partials, q-stock, quarantine, or rework.
5. Restock products to locations such as partials, q-stock, quarantine, or rework.
6. Assist with returning materials to batch storage locations requiring a forklift or other means of lifting.
7. Assist with stock rotation.
8. Notify the Stocker of any stock replenishment needs.
9. Assist with cleaning areas outside the general batch area, such as pigment racks, drum racks, and back aisles.
10. Distribute empty drums to proper locations.
11. Assist with trash and waste disposal.
12. Perform duties according to safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk around the production floor for long periods.
• Reach with hands and arms overhead above shoulders.
• Bend to retrieve containers and packages.
• Constantly lift materials, up to 75 pounds.
• Climb ladders to retrieve materials.
• Talk or hear.

Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing/production preferred.
• Experience driving forklifts required.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
