Job summary

S&C Electric Company, a 100% employee-owned organization, seeks a Material Handler – Basic to transport materials across the facility, run forklift operations, and support inventory accuracy. Join a team focused on safety, quality, and reliability of critical energy infrastructure.

Expected duties include using tuggers, verifying quantities, and maintaining compliance with company policies while advancing through forklift certification and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of demonstrated experience in a material handling or related role within a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of driving a stand-up forklift with a safe driving record is required.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Use a tugger to deliver materials to dedicated drop-off locations within the manufacturing facility.
• Utilize trigger cards and internal applications to identify where new materials are needed, ensuring accuracy in quantities and proper procedures are followed.
• Complete S&C Stand-up Forklift certification program, including any required testing and certification hours to pass the program.
• Review job orders and part drawings to accurately determine which parts and materials are needed for specific jobs and areas.
• Utilize Oracle ERP to determine part quantities, locations, and receiving history.
• Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
• Work with departmental mentors to gain and apply feedback in pursuit of improved work quality.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
