Job summary

American Trim in Sidney, OH is seeking reliable forklift drivers to support production lines on 1st and 3rd shifts. Base pay starts at $17.30 per hour with a $1.50 per hour shift differential for the 3rd shift, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

You will move parts, track inventory, and prepare shipping manifests, while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a valid tow motor/LF license, QAD data entry, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Move parts in/out of rack system and record movements in QAD.
  • Verify inventory accuracy and conduct weekly physical counts.
  • Ensure accurate movements between production, inventory, and shipping locations.
  • Create shipping manifests (bills of lading, packing lists).
  • Move materials to keep production stocked and ensure continuous operations.
  • Load finished goods onto trucks as needed.
  • Unload raw materials and record movements to proper locations.
  • Move scrap and waste materials to designated areas and arrange for transport.
  • Perform daily lift truck maintenance and safety checks.
  • Report lift truck issues and maintain production and quality records.
  • Assist in dies setup and pre-staging for jobs.
  • Follow safety standards and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform routine housekeeping in work areas.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Hours and Pay

1st Shift: 5:55 AM – 4:00 PM Monday–Thursday, plus overtime as needed.

3rd Shift: 9:55 PM – 6:00 AM Sunday–Thursday, plus overtime as needed.

Base Pay: $17.30 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.

Job Responsibilities
  • Move parts in/out of rack system to support manufacturing and record these moves in the computer (QAD).
  • Evaluate inventory accuracy of rack system daily to ensure the entire system is physically inventoried each week.
  • Evaluate supporting location to ensure accuracy of inventory, if applicable.
  • Develop shipping manifests (i.e. bill of lading, packing lists).
  • Move departmental parts and maintain an adequate supply of raw materials, corrugates, cargoes, and/or related items for production areas to ensure continuous operations. Return unused/excess materials to proper inventory locations and record movements.
  • Move finished items from production area(s) to proper inventory and/or shipping locations and record movements. Load finished goods on trucks as required.
  • Unload raw materials and other received items from trucks and move to proper inventory or line locations and record movement.
  • Move scrap and waste materials (hazardous and non-hazardous) to specified hold areas and/or load for transport.
  • Perform and record daily preventive maintenance and checks on the lift truck, including necessary charging/fueling, lubrication, safety checks, etc.
  • Report out‑of‑service lift trucks to supervisor and lift truck mechanic. Maintain all records as required (e.g., production reports, scrap reporting, downtime records, quality measures, maintenance work orders, facticity, etc.).
  • Assist in setting dies and pre‑staging of job.
  • Comply with safety standards: JSA, ESA and ASA.
  • Ensure that the job is run in environmental compliance per supervisor/environmental group instructions.
  • Perform routine housekeeping in work area(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
