Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Northlake, TX is seeking a Material Handler, Weld for 1st shift (5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Mon–Fri). You will move materials, operate forklift/HiLo, load and unload pallets, and ensure accurate inventory in a high-volume plant.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, proficiency in English, and at least 1 month of related experience or training. Prior material handling and HiLo driving experience are preferred. Safety, ownership, and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to safely perform duties.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous material handling work experience preferred.
• Previous HiLo driving experience preferred.
• Maintains safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Move levers and press pedals to drive forklift and control lifting devices.
• Position forks and loads to palletize goods and transport within the plant.
• Unload, stack, and relocate materials to designated areas.
• Inventory materials on the shop floor and supply workers as needed.
• Weigh materials and record data on tags or production schedules.
• Recharge batteries or replace liquefied gas tanks as needed.
• Work with urgency to meet customer deadlines.
