Job summary

ConMet Canton is seeking a Material Handler to support the Production & Shipping Department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires following written work instructions, moving materials, and loading/unloading trailers with an electric forklift.

Shifts available: 1st and 2nd. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 12 months of related experience, forklift proficiency, and the ability to operate a scan gun accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Minimum twelve months of related experience and/or training.
• Forklift operation proficiency.
• Ability to accurately operate a scan gun.

Responsibilities

• Follow written work instructions.
• Complete daily forklift checklist.
• Transport materials/parts to correct locations to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Safely load/unload trailers using electric forklift.
• Pull and stage customer orders from warehouse.
• Keep warehouse, raw material, and packaging areas organized and clean.
• Put away material in designated locations.
• Record material movements via scan gun transactions for inventory accuracy.
• Notify supervisor of unresolved problems.
