Job summary

WMP is seeking a full-time Material Handler on 1st shift to organize raw materials, load/unload trucks, and keep manufacturing cells staged for on-time customer deliveries.

Candidates should have forklift experience and be safety-minded, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work up to 8 hours standing or sitting.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation with at least 1 year experience and a clean safety record.
• Experience in a warehouse or forklift role preferred.
• Team player focused on customers and colleagues.
• Detail oriented and safety conscious with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Material handling (loading/unloading trucks), staging material/parts for machines and work areas.
• Assist in verifying/inspecting received goods.
• Scrap handling and disposal.
• Assist in preparing, packing, weighing, labeling, securing parts for shipment.
• Assist in receiving entering raw material into system, printing/handling packing lists as needed.
• Other day-to-day tasks to support manufacturing and on-time delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

• Material handling (loading/unloading trucks), staging material / parts, for machines and work areas
• Assist in verifying/inspecting received goods
• Scrap handling, and disposal
• Assist in preparing, packing, weighing, labeling, securing parts for shipment
• Assist in receiving entering raw material into system, printing/handling packing lists as needed
• Other day to day tasks as needed to support manufacturing, on time delivery, the shipping/receiving team

Requirements

• High proficiency with forklifts, at least 1 year experience), with zero safety incident record
• Some experience in a dedicated warehouse or forklift role preferred, but not necessarily required
• Must be a team player who keeps the customer and others in mind
• Detail orientated, safety conscious, with an aptitude for organization
• Ability to regularly lift raw material or finished goods up to 40 pounds
• Aptitude for computers, comfortable learning new systems/software as needed
• Able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day
