Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, palletize, wrap, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition.

• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventories.
• Ensure materials are labeled, stored, and organized.

The Warehouse Forklift Driver / Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, loading, unloading, and distribution of materials within the facility. This role supports warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving operations by operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance
with safety and quality standards. Pay Range ($18-$19.80/hr)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate standup/reach and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, railcars, and containers.
• Transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to designated warehouse or production locations.
• Supply production lines with materials needed to maintain production flow.
• Pick, stage, palletize, wrap, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, part numbers, and condition.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions using ERP, WMS, or inventory tracking systems.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other warehouse and production-related duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

• 1-3 years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• 2+ years of forklift operation experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Safe forklift operation and material handling techniques.
• Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems preferred.
• Ability to read shipping documents, labels, packing slips, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with appropriate equipment assistance.
• Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse and manufacturing environments, including exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass insulation and temperature fluctuations.
