Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Lexington, TN is seeking a production operator for 1st shift. You will operate machinery, read production orders, and ensure safety and quality while meeting productivity goals.

You will use forklifts and cranes, inspect equipment, and collaborate with team members and supervision to maintain a reliable production flow. The role requires a high school diploma, related experience, basic Microsoft knowledge, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous related experience is required.
• Basic Microsoft knowledge is required.
• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and pneumatic equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine and guide line personnel to meet production, safety, and quality goals.
• Support company Core Values and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Inspect equipment for safety.
• Read and interpret production orders.
• Meet productivity and quality requirements.
• Use forklift, crane, and manual material handling; complete documentation.
• Read tape, maintain good communication with team, supervisor, and management.
• Maintain promotability to Operator II/III.
• Stand/walk 8–12 hours daily; climb on/off equipment and ladders.
• Work under varying outdoor conditions (hot, cold, rain, shine).
