Job summary

Tempur Sealy is hiring a Material Handler to move and stage production materials at our High Point, NC facility. You will operate a forklift, sort and verify supplies, and support production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours per shift.
• Overtime and occasional Saturdays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Move material by forklift from storage areas to production work areas.
• Ensure materials for production are sorted, verified and supplied to stations as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
• Support daily, weekly production schedules.

What You’ll Do Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Moves material by forklift from storage areas and/or production areas to various work areas for assembly.
• Ensures all materials for production are sorted, verified and supplied to appropriate workstations as required to meet production schedule.
• Ability to perform within a fast-paced team environment to maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production goals.
• Move materials/components between floor, pallets, conveyors and or tables.
• Responsible for ensuring production materials are sorted, verified and supplied to appropriate stations or staging areas as required to meet production schedule.
• Collaborate with a team to achieve organizational goals.
• Maintain and sustain a clean area/environment.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications):

• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to work in a standing position for a minimum 8 hours or more per shift.
• Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, pushing, bending, etc. in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attendance-must be reliable and punctual.
• Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
